Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick are the players he lined up with who most resemble Scholes, Rashford admitted.
Rashford told it podcast: “It would have been a dream to play with someone like Paul. The biggest thing for me is the range of passes.
“Probably that was closest when Wazza (Wayne Rooney) played a little deeper and it was so much fun to play as number nine in those games when he played in that position.

It was also similar to Carras (Michael Carrick). As soon as they get the ball, they look forward and want to play forward, not only on the feet, but often on the back. As forwarding is all you want. As long as someone sees the steps and tries to make them, that’s what you thrive on. ‘
Like Rashford, Scholes played for United at a youth level before breaking into the first team.
Over two periods with the club, Scholes made an incredible 718 appearances, winning a wide variety of trophies, including eleven league titles.
Rashford has not yet won the league, but he has lifted silverware in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League.
Despite being only 22 years old, he has already played 201 times for United, scoring 64 goals.
