Purdue took out its anger on an innocent bystander Friday night.

After the team’s shocking 63-58 loss to No. 16 seed Fairleigh Dickinson, someone apparently destroyed the whiteboard that was in the team’s locker room.

A shared photo for Twitter WISH-TV’s Angela Moryan showed the item with a large hole in it, and it didn’t take long for fans to crack jokes in response to the image.

“I’m surprised they were able to hit him,” one said. saying.

‘There the ball went after they nailed another 3’, another saying.

The Knights led by one at halftime and managed to hold on to their lead, as a 5 1/2 minute drought in the final five minutes doomed the Boilermakers to a first round elimination.

Sean Moore led the way in scoring for Fairleigh Dickinson with 19 points, while Demetre Roberts (12 points) and Cameron Tatum (10 points) also scored in double figures.

“People didn’t think we belonged here, we just showed people that we can do it,” Moore said after the game.

The Knights will face Florida Atlantic on Sunday, while Purdue, led by All-America center Zach Edey, has had its championship hopes dashed.

Edey finished with 21 points and 15 rebounds, but was denied the ball down the stretch and did not attempt a shot in the final nine minutes of the game.

Only two other Boilermakers put up double figures when they were eliminated.
