” Do not eat ! »: Man’s TERRIFYING Warning About Tiny Spots Found on Bananas
One man urged customers to avoid buying bananas with small white spots, which could contain insect nests.
This follows an October 2022 Facebook post from a concerned Asda shopper, who spotted something unusual on the fruit she bought.
The anonymous shopper posted on the social media site to see if others could advise her on what to do.
The customer wrote in the Family Lockdown Tips & Ideas group: “Anyone have any idea what this white spot on my banana is? Brought from Asda yesterday.
She shared a photo of the stained fruit with her post – and her concern could have been forgiven following the responses from other group members.
A man has issued an alarming warning about small dots found on bananas, urging customers to avoid them if they see small white spots on the fruit. The warning follows a Facebook post from a concerned Asda shopper, who spotted something unusual on the fruit she bought.
Horrifically, one user said: “Definitely a spider in there. »
A second added: “It looks like a spider egg sac. Put in a bag and tie it. I would take it again.
Another replied: “This happened to me last year. I bought some bananas and got a free spider nest with tiny spiders coming out of it. »
Heeding others’ warnings, the buyer then provided an update. She said: “I can confirm that said banana, well, a bunch (this puts me off for life) is in the bin outside!
“I can pour boiling water over them in case they hatch inside the trash can and get into the house, because best case scenario I DON’T get spiders!” Not to mention the poisonous ones! »
They continued: “Maybe even burning my trash if I’m honest might be the best option (just kidding of course).”
An Asda spokesperson said LADbible: “This particular ‘white spot’ looks like a nest of scale insects, they are completely harmless but like other insects they like to settle between banana fingers which gives them a nice protective habitat to live in.”
