An incredible waterfront home boasting sea views from almost every room has broken price records in a Sydney suburb after being snapped up for just under $35 million.
The new architect-designed 696 m2 house with five bedrooms and four bathrooms in 44 Bower St in Manlyon the city’s northern beaches, sold to an undisclosed buyer last Monday.
The house has panoramic views of Manly and Shelly Beach, plus its own heated infinity pool.
While agents Michael Clarke and Cherie Humel of Clarke & Humel have not confirmed the sale price, its previous owner, Justine Acret, listed it at $35 million and it is understood to have sold for close to that figure, realestate reported. com.au.
Ms Acret is the wife of Chris Acret, co-founder of mortgage broker Smartline.

The sale has surpassed the previous record for a Manly home by a whopping $10 million.
The Bower St property is the second most expensive home on the northern beaches, behind only the $40 million Palm Beach mansion bought by waste company owner Ian Malouf in 2022.
The three-level north-facing property was presented as one of the most luxurious homes ever offered on the northern beaches.
“Meticulously designed by award-winning architects Madeline Blanchfield to fully optimize one of the finest parcels of waterfront land in Manly’s most exclusive cul-de-sac,” the property listing reads.
The house features a heated ‘infinity pool’ overlooking Sydney’s spectacular north shore.
According to the listing, the living room and “dining area” have “a spectacular wall of floor-to-ceiling retractable glass,” while the home is made of “select natural stone and wood.”
The ceilings are 3.8 meters high and the kitchen features a Calacatta marble island with pantry along with an integrated Sub-Zero refrigerator and Siemens freezer, plus two dishwashers.
Three bedrooms have private bathrooms and custom-made dressing rooms, while two of them have balconies with panoramic views.
The “designer” bathrooms feature marble vanities and heated floors and the master bath offers ocean views from the tub.

The house sits on leased land owned by the Catholic Church, for which Acret paid $14 million in 2018.
Manly’s previous record price was $25.05 million was set about a year ago for a home sold by British real estate magnate Cathal O’Rourke across the street.
