Manhunt at Dutch university as motorcycle-riding attacker in military gear opens fire in classroom, injuring one – as police investigate second shooting at nearby house

Police have launched a manhunt in the Netherlands after an attacker wearing military clothing opened fire in a classroom at a Dutch university and injured one person.
Investigators said the gunman may have fled the scene on a motorbike as they appealed to those who witnessed the incident in the Dutch port city of Rotterdam to come forward.
Another person was injured in a nearby house, Rotterdam police said in a message on X, formerly Twitter. It was not immediately clear whether the two shootings were related.
Police said an arrest team was checking Erasmus Medical Center to determine if he was still in the building.
Several police officers, including specialist arrest teams, were photographed at the hospital.
