Manhattan woman crushed at the bottom of the trash in 2018 “may have been strangled”

The famous pathologist who controversially concluded that pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s autopsy showed signs of murder, has claimed in bombshell new findings that the death of a New York Socialite two years ago was not a tragic accident.

Lara Prychodko, 48, was found dead on July 18, 2018, at the bottom of the trash can in her luxury apartment on Union Square in Manhattan. The police investigating her death at the time concluded that it was a drunk accident.

Former chief medical officer of New York City, Dr. Michael Baden, however, claims that the mother-of-one did not accidentally collapse until her death and her body showed signs of strangulation.

In a letter to the family of Prychodko, Dr. Baden concluded that “she may have died as a result of the murderous strangulation of the ligature and was subsequently placed in the landfill.”

Dr. Baden was recruited by the Lara family after her father Nicholas Prychodko refused to accept the results of the Manhattan District Attorney office, which closed the case “without resolution” just two months after her death.

Researchers said that Prychodko was last seen alive on video surveillance around 4:20 pm, apparently stunned and stumbled around the 27th floor of the Zeckendorf towers where she lived.

About 30 minutes later, she was found ‘crushed from multiple angles’ by the building maintenance officer.

The city’s Chief Medical Examiner ruled that her cause of death was “undetermined,” but said there was no question of cheating.

Her father Nicholas has long claimed that his daughter was murdered and moved from his home in Toronto to New York for a period of time to insist on further investigation into his daughter’s death.

Dr. Baden offered to investigate the case pro bono for the family after he was approached by Nicholas. According to the New York Post, he assessed autopsy notes, x-rays, laboratory tests, and photos of the crime scene before sending his findings to the family in a letter on July 15, 2019, just under a year after death.

His findings concluded that strangulation was possibly the reason why there was little blood from the Prychodko body when she went through the parachute and was crushed.

Baden was also concerned that the woman was topless in the photo of the crime scene.

“One of the first things he said was that her blouse was out,” Nicholas Prychodko told the New York Post.

“He found that unusual and a possible indication of a struggle before she died.”

Nicholas has argued harshly that death was murdered because there was a lack of video footage from the corridor outside the apartment of Prychodko where the parachute was.

The only video footage shows Lara entering the elevator, apparently drunk, at 4.10 p.m. A neighbor on the 27th floor claimed that she returned to her own apartment around 4.20 pm, but appeared 10 minutes later when she heard a noise in the hallway.

She then told the police that she saw a bag at the entrance of the garbage press.

This wallet was from Lara Prychodko.

Nicholas Prychodko asked Dr. Michael Baden to investigate the case because he does not believe that his daughter's death was an accident, but that she was murdered in New York in July 2018.

Nicholas Prychodko asked Dr. Michael Baden to investigate the case because he does not believe that his daughter’s death was an accident, but that she was murdered in New York in July 2018.

“After completing a thorough investigation involving multiple people being interviewed and watching video, no crime is currently suspected and it is assumed that it is an accident,” said NYPD Lt. John Grimpel in 2018 after the investigation was completed.

Lara Prychodko was reportedly in the midst of a controversial divorce and had lost custody of her 12-year-old son at the time of her death.

Lara Prychodko’s ex, construction director David Christopher Schlachet, was the co-founder of Taocon Inc., a construction company in New York, that owed more than $ 3.4 million in creditors and had assets of only $ 550,844, according to documents released in 2016 at the federal court.

The company filed for bankruptcy in 2016, the same year that he filed for divorce from Lara.

The couple was regularly portrayed on the social circuit of Manhattan and in The Hamptons before they broke up. Their marriage was announced by the New York Times in 2003.

The two were in mediation to divide their property – a house in the Hamptons and apartments in Chelsea and Williamsburg – when the 48-year-old died, according to her lawyer.

She had also lost custody of her 12-year-old son Talin and had to regularly test drugs and alcohol as part of the settlement, her lawyer Eric A. Seiff told the New York Post after her death.

Prychodko was convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol in 2012 and reportedly told her lawyer that she believed her addiction problems were caused by a “growing brain tumor.”

“I know she was absolutely convinced that the pain and dependence she experienced that her drinking was directly related to the growing brain tumor,” Seiff said.

However, Seiff said his client had passed all of her recent “professionally controlled” drug tests and when he spoke to her on the Monday before her death, she seemed “happy.”

“I have not been aware of a single test that has failed in the past year. For the last six months [the tests] have been professionally guided, “Seiff said.

He also told the New York Post on Friday that the financial talks about the divorce had been in Lara’s favor in the weeks prior to her death.

“I was completely shocked when I heard about her death,” he said. “I only know her death wasn’t an accident.”

Nicholas Prychodko revealed to the Post that after the death of his daughter Schlachet immediately took control of their shared property, sold the Toronoto apartment for $ 700,000 and rented one of their Southampton homes for $ 75,000 a month.

Schlachet was never called a suspect in the death of his wife.

After receiving the Baden results in 2019, Nicholas Prychodko tried to reopen his daughter’s case and present it to the Chief Medical Examiner’s office.

The Canadian consulate in New York also urged further investigation.

However, the OCME refused to say that they “found no signs of cheating in the death of your daughter.”

“I have therefore informed the OCME, I no longer trust their professional integrity, nor do I accept the validity of their autopsy report and its conclusions,” said Prychodko of the reply, adding that he had also met a representative from the Manhattan DA office.

Prychodko concluded that he is now ready to hire a private investigator to try and find new evidence about death.

The NYPD reiterated Friday that they had “determined” that no criminal activities were involved in the death of Lara Prychodko.

Dr. Michael Baden was also hired by the family of Jeffrey Epstein when he was found in his cell at the federal Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan in August 2019.

The pathologist controversially announced that he believed Epstein’s autopsy showed signs of suicide.
