Manchester United will ‘reject all offers for flop Donny van de Beek this summer’, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having ‘big plans’ for the Dutchman despite giving him just 326 Premier League minutes all season.

  • Manchester United will not let Donny van de Beek leave the club this summer
  • Van de Beek has had a nightmare debut season and is hardly featured in the team
  • But boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly has big plans for the Dutch playmaker

Manchester United will refuse every step of the outcast Donny Van de Beek in midfield this summer, despite the fact that the Dutchman hardly appears for the Red Devils all season.

While former club Ajax van de Beek is eager to save him on a rental basis, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has big plans for the midfielder and assured the 24-year-old that his chance will come, according to The sun.

Van de Beek had a nightmare in the first season at Old Trafford, with only 326 Premier League minutes to his name so far.

He only played 90 minutes in the Premier League once, against Southampton in November, and only played 32 times in all competitions, with one goal to his credit and two assists.

That’s his setback since a much-vaunted £ 40 million move last summer that his countryman on the women’s team and fellow Red Devil Jackie Groenen recently teased Van de Beek that she’s played at Old Trafford more than he has.

Last month, the young playmaker was also linked with a move to Juventus, with United reportedly considering a trade deal for French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, and last week La Repubblica reported that Roma were interested in a trade for midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo.

But Solskjaer has reportedly had recent talks with Van de Beek, indicating he has a future at the club, and United is relaying the message to potential suitors that there is no deal on the table.
