Valverde has become an essential part of Real Madrid, winning the LaLiga title last season
United’s reported interest in Valverde implies the Premier League club is preparing to live after Pogba as they try to return to the top of the English game.
The Real Madrid midfielder played 33 times for Zidane’s side when Los Blancos recaptured the LaLiga title from arch-rival Barcelona.
Valverde played for Madrid five times this season, scoring only once. This season he is expected to play a key role in his squad’s Spanish title defense and in their Champions League quest.
