New Manchester United coach Erik ten Hag is ready to part with both Anthony Martial and Eric Bailly this summer to raise money for his highly anticipated team overhaul.
Bailly, who joined from Villarreal for £30 million in 2016, will cost around £8.5 million, while Anthony Martial has an asking price of £20 million, according to the sundespite signing up for an initial £36 million in 2016 with performance-based add-ons.
While Martial showed promise during periods of his seven-year stay at United, neither player is believed to be part of ten Hag’s future plans.

With both players perhaps victims of United’s frantic efforts to return to the top after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement, neither have really lived up to the fees they were bought for.
Bailly suffered injuries during his United career and missed 95 games during his six seasons with the club. As a result, he struggles to cement his status on the sidelines and has subsequently fallen into the picking order.
Martial, in particular, was a disappointment to Red Devils fans, who had high hopes for a player who had woven a winning Ballon d’Or bonus into his transfer deal.
Despite scoring a fantastic solo goal on his debut, against none other than nemesis Liverpool, and scoring 23 goals in all competitions in 2019/20, the Frenchman’s time at Old Trafford last season ended in a disappointing loan spell at Seville.

However, the Premier League giants may struggle to part ways with Martial as a result of his massive £240,000 a week wage at Old Trafford, and they will likely be ordered to pay at least part of his wages if he leaves the club .
And since Ten Hag has already identified five players he wants the club to bring in, even a club with United’s financial strength will have to raise money through player sales.
The Dutch manager has identified Frenkie de Jong, Christian Eriksen, Ajax duo Antony and Jurrien Timber and a backup goalkeeper as the transfers he wants this summer, with De Jong being regarded as a number 1 priority.
