Manchester United retain a stake in the Atletico Madrid signing of Kieran Trippier.
The English right-back is also interested in Everton. He still has a two-year contract, but Atletico, who are short on cash, are open to offers. United see him as a competitor for Aaron Wan Bissaka.
United are working on a deal for Real Madrid’s Raphael Varane and want Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, but resources are limited.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is excited about a rebuild to close the gap with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League and perform in the Champions League. United finished second and were eliminated in the group stage this season.
And his lack of confidence in the depth of his squad was exposed when he refused to make a replacement until the 100th minute of their Europa League final defeat to Villarreal.
Trippier has been looked at this season and his outstanding performance for Atletico in their LaLiga title win convinced both United and England boss Gareth Southgate of his quality.

United are frontrunners for Sancho, whose previous £108m asking price has been lowered by Borussia Dortmund. But no deal has been made yet and United don’t want to be ripped off.
Varane is a serious target as a centre-back – a problem position for United this season – and only has a one-year contract left with Real Madrid.
West Ham’s PFA Young Player of the Year nominee Declan Rice and Villarreal’s Pau Torres have also been named as United goals.
Last month, Solskjaer said: “If you want to take on the challenge with them, we have to strengthen our squad.

‘Congratulations to them. They have had a fantastic season but I am very happy with my boys that we made it to the last 10 days with a City side in front of us that is hailed as the best in Europe.
“We want to take the next step and maybe we need a few more to strengthen the squad.”
Edinson Cavani’s new contract makes an attacker unlikely, although Solskjaer has not ruled out a transfer.
