Nathan Ake could be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s next Manchester United signing after the manager appeared to tell the Dutchman that he ‘needs a left-footed central defender’.
The defender, who was part of the Bournemouth squad defeated 5-2 by United over the weekend, has been linked to several top six clubs, including Manchester City and Chelsea.
But Solskjaer would also like to strengthen his team with another defensive option, with the club aiming for the title next season.

The United boss seemed to tell the defender that he needs a new left foot mid back
And Ake could be on the United manager’s radar after making a point to talk to the 25-year-old after Saturday’s game.
Solskjaer punched the defender as he left the field saying, “Good luck.”
After Ake replied, “Cheers, thank you,” the 47-year-old seemed to follow up with, “We need a left foot mid back, so keep going.”
The Bournemouth man has also been linked with a move to Manchester City and Chelsea
United made Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in world football when they sealed a £ 80 million transfer last summer.
Victor Lindelof is the Englishman’s regular center-back, but the club has had no cover as Eric Bailly has spent most of the campaign on the sidelines.
Ake has two years left with his contract in Bournemouth, but the club continued to face relegation problems after Saturday’s defeat and they could be forced to sell their biggest assets.
The 25-year-old left Stamford Bridge to join Eddie Howe in the summer of 2017
The defender left Chelsea to join Eddie Howe in 2017 and has been a regular for the past two seasons.
United look could compete in the transfer market and is associated with a large number of players across Europe.
Napoli player Kalidou Koulibaly is another defender on the club’s radar, but the 29-year-old is a much sought after man at Chelsea, Liverpool and City who are all interested.
