Manchester United will win the Premier League when they sign Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer, says Gary Neville – with Old Trafford great also citing Roy Keane as a former player who could ‘really use the club right now’.

  • Gary Neville named three players who would see Manchester United win the title
  • Harry Kane, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane were selected by expert Neville
  • All three players may be available, but the deals would hit United’s treasury hard
  • Neville also believes that Roy Keane is the former United player the team needs now

Gary Neville has identified the three signings that could help Manchester United win the Premier League title – and also named the former player who would make the biggest difference to the club in the modern era.

While conducting an extensive Q&A with his followers on Twitter, long-standing ex-United right back Neville was quizzed on a variety of issues related to the Old Trafford outfit, including their summer transfer activities.

And an optimistic Neville believes the trio of Raphael Varane, Harry Kane and Jadon Sancho will see United take over neighbors and recently crowned champions City next season.

Any player identified by Neville as must-have targets for United when the window opens would hit the club’s treasury hard – but Tottenham frontman Kane and Borussia Dortmund forward Sancho may be available for the right price.

A United supporter asked Sky Sports pundit Neville where United would end up at the end of the next campaign ‘with the right signings’.

The response was direct and to the point, with Neville simply posting, ‘Varane, Kane, Sancho = title’.

Fresh off their top flight runner-up, United is indeed one of the clubs interested in bringing in the lost Kane.

City and Chelsea are also circling – and the England captain is likely to cost in the region of a staggering £ 150m.

However, there is little desire at Tottenham to sell Kane, with owner Daniel Levy furiously left behind, as reported by Sportsmail last week, by the Ace openly expanding on the possibility of his departure.

United, which will try to bolster the options available to boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the coming weeks, could very well be dragged into a transfer dog fight for Kane – although their finances might be better spent elsewhere.

Real Madrid defender Varane could be another target, with the center-back remaining on his contract with the Bernabeu for just over a year.

Reports in Spain claimed Varane has a £ 60 million price tag, and further suggestions on United’s preparation to submit a £ 40 million bid quickly emerged.

To complete Neville’s dream triumph, United would also have to wave goodbye to secure Sancho from the Bundesliga. A long-term goal for Solskjaer, it is clear that the winger would be free to move for the right price.

With Sancho and Dortmund thrown in a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ that could allow him to leave, United can hope to seal the deal for just under £ 80 million.

In addition to players currently in action, Neville was also quizzed about former United greats who could have an impact on the current team.

Another user tweeted Neville and asked, “Which former player could United really use?”

The typically outspoken and fiery Roy Keane, who has not been shy about voicing scathing criticism of United in recent seasons, was selected by Neville.
