Manchester United are again looking for a move for veteran central defender Diego Godin, according to reports.

Despite joining Inter Milan only last summer, Godin is no longer wanted Antonio Conte after not adapting to the Italian system after switching from Atletico Madrid.

Godin shone under Atletico under Diego Simeone and became one of the best defenders in world football, and United was one of the clubs that had a strong interest in his signature last summer.

And according to Italian publication Corriere dello Sport, the Old Trafford outfit is interested in going back to strengthen its defensive ranks.

The 34-year-old’s contract with the San Siro will expire in 2022, but it seems unlikely that he will see the rest of his deal.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking for the much-needed experience to fool his United defenders right now.

However, United is reportedly ready for competition in the summer transfer window of La Liga outfit Valencia.

The Uruguayan defender came out of a possible 25 Serie A matches only 16 times this season, after struggling to adjust to life in Milan.
