A man with & # 39; Body Integrity Identity Disorder & # 39; has revealed how he deliberately destroyed his own foot so that it can be amputated to alleviate his lifelong struggle with mental disorder.
A man who himself & # 39; John & # 39; calls, told OK whatever that he suffered from Body Integrity Identity Disorder or BIID, since he was four or five years old, and eventually healed himself when he was in the mid-twenties after he had amputated half of his leg.
BIID is said to be a rare condition where those affected have a schism between the mental image they have of their body and their actual forms, causing them to have an intense desire to amputate healthy limbs, or to perform other malforming or debilitating actions.

Because doctors do not perform voluntary amputations for ethical reasons, many people with BIID must live with the feeling that they have a body part that does not feel where it belongs.
John originally shared his story in a reddit post since then, stating that in the early 2000s – when he was in his twenties – he decided to hurt himself so badly that a surgical amputation would be necessary.
He wrote that he went to a wooded area near a hospital and shattered the largest rock he could carry against his left food until it was sufficiently mangled so that he could never walk on it again.
At the hospital, he wrote, doctors said his left lower leg needed amputation because it could not be repaired. The limbs were mastered the next day.
John wrote that the amputation healed him from his BIID and that the 20-year-old hatred he felt for the leg and the constant desire to remove had eventually disappeared.
John said that seeing the stump of his leg cured him for the first time from the disorder he had had for about 20 years and that he enjoys being an amputee (file image)
& # 39; Seeing my stump for the first time was as happy as I have ever been. So I can't really say I have BIID anymore, & John wrote in an e-mail to OK Whatever.
He told the website that the incident occurred 13 years ago and that he had not revealed the truth about what he did or why to someone he knows.
& # 39; My wife, along with everyone else I know, believes the story I was trying to climb and part of the cliff broke off and crushed my foot, & # 39; John wrote while he & # 39; total anonymity & # 39; asked.
John wrote that he likes & # 39; the one-legged guy & # 39; and doing things such as jogging, walking, and driving is more fun than when I had two legs & # 39 ;.
He said he was always & # 39; jealous & # 39; was on amputees and & # 39; felt like I should have been & # 39; throughout his life.
Now he is & # 39; very proud & # 39; on his amputated status, he wears shorts and sandals to show off his prosthetic leg and foot and enjoys & # 39; the uncomfortable looks of other people & # 39 ;.
John said his pleasure to show his & # 39; stump & # 39; has resulted in people with amputated fetishes who demanded all kinds of crazy sexual poses or wanted to send me leather pants in which they ejaculated, so that I could take a video in which I rubbed them on my sling while masturbating. & # 39;
He is also offered massages from strangers who see him walking on stools with the bare tree stump and lets & # 39; touch and rub a few cute girls a little, adding that he thinks the stump & # 39; a little erotic & # 39; is for itself.
The flipside of flattering attention, however, is the number of people who send him messages on social media, ask him for help in their own quest to become an amputee, which he refuses.
& # 39; I receive messages like: & # 39; I want to be an amputee like you. Please help me cut off my legs. & # 39; My answer is, "I am not a doctor, so I have no idea how to do that, and I cannot give advice except that I tell you what I did," he told the website.
OK whatever reported that John had amputated a series of photos of him and a few days later deactivated the email address he was using and then removed his reddit username and deleted his original message describing what he had done to himself.
A BIID researcher suggested that it is possible that John had a second thought about everything he had revealed due to medical-legal issues.
Prof. Peter Bruggel, head of neuropsychology at the University Hospital in Zurich, told the website that John could be in legal and financial trouble – from an insurance point of view – if it turned out that he had intentionally injured his foot so that it would be amputated.
Bruggel also said that John might be worried about his friends and family trying to find out the truth behind his missing limb.
& # 39; The whole is comparable to cheating on a partner. Who wants to talk about things freely? & # 39; Brugger told OK whatever.
