In April, Timothy J. Ott, 31, pleaded guilty to kidnapping an abuser.

A Wyoming man who rescued a 14-year-old girl from a sexual abuser was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for “kidnapping” him, while the pedophile received a similar sentence of 10 to 14 years.

In April, Timothy J. Ott, 31, pleaded guilty to kidnapping Zackary Minard, 23, who was found in bed with a teenage girl.

When the mother discovered her 14-year-old daughter in bed with Minard, she contacted her boyfriend, Ott, who rushed to the house with a 35-year-old friend in tow.

Last month, Ott was ordered to serve between nine and 10 years in prison. District Judge Michael McGrady also ruled that the 31-year-old must pay his abuser $1,065 in restitution.

The 31-year-old confronted the abuser and a violent fight soon broke out, during which the young woman vomited, according to State of the Cowboys Diary.

As the friend repeatedly kicked Minard, Ott grabbed the 22-year-old by the ankles and dragged him outside. Gillette News Record reported.

After allowing the abuser to stand, he was ordered to get into the trunk of a red 2007 Chevy, which he promptly did.

Minard told authorities that Ott deliberately drove erratically so that he would be thrown into hard metal objects while in the trunk.

The abuser thought he was being taken to a remote location to be killed.

Finally, the car stopped and Ott hit Minard several times, breaking his nose.

The two men abandoned the young woman, who was then 22 years old, in a rural area, where the temperature was about 35 degrees.

Before leaving with his friend, Ott told Minard to walk back to town and consider what he had done.

The next day, the 31-year-old returned to the scene to look for the abuser, fearing that something might happen to him.

However, Ott learned that Minard had already been found and was being treated in a hospital.

The ‘kidnapper’ spoke to the police, confessed his crime and regretted that things had gone ‘too far’.

Just days after his arrest, authorities found paraphernalia containing traces of methamphetamine in Ott’s possession.

The judge sentenced Ott to three to five years in prison for the drug charge, but allowed him to serve it concurrently with his kidnapping sentence.

In his interview with authorities, Minard admitted to having had sexual relations with the minor.

In addition to his prison sentence, the 23-year-old must pay $3,000 in fines, as well as $500 in restitution to the Wyoming Division of Victim Services.

In his interview with authorities, Minard confessed to his crime, admitting to having had sexual relations with the minor.

The judge also ordered that he register as a sex offender.

Almost at the same time he was sentenced, Minard wrote a letter expressing remorse for his actions.

“Not a day goes by that I don’t wish I could have it all back,” she wrote in the letter.

“I wish I hadn’t made the bad decisions I made that day. I wish I could take away the pain of the family I hurt.”
