The eerie night vision shows a man wanted by police for questioning as they investigate the attempted sexual assault of a woman in the early hours of the morning.

Police released CCTV of a man jogging down the street at night in a popular beachside suburb whom they wished to question in connection with an alleged attempted sexual assault on a woman.

The woman was allegedly approached when she was on Mitchell Street in Bondi at 3:40am on Friday.

Police released images of a muscular, bearded man who could help officers with their investigation.

Black-and-white footage showed the tall man wearing a torch around his waist bending down to straighten his socks in the street.

He then turns around and starts running down the road, passing a small truck and a GoGet van parked on the road.

Authorities said the man in the video was wearing jean shorts and a white short-sleeved polo shirt.

“He is described as being Caucasian in appearance, in his early 30s, approximately 175cm tall, muscular with dark hair, dark eyes and a short beard,” NSW Police said in a statement.
