Manchester United will opt to sell one of their biggest names this summer, rather than let him leave on a free contract in 2025, according to a new report.
Erik ten Hag has been trying to juggle his team in the right way as they look to fight their way towards a Champions League place and go one step further from their FA Cup final defeat last summer.
However, there are likely to be personnel changes in the off-season as players who are frustrated by their lack of playing time under Ten Hag look to find new clubs.
The mirror informs that Christian Eriksen will be able to leave the club with a permanent transfer at the end of the season.
During the international break, the Danish star admitted he was frustrated by his lack of playing time, playing just 37 minutes of Man United’s last seven Premier League games, leading up to Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Brentford, where Eriksen he remained on the bench against his former club.

He has fallen behind Kobbie Mainoo in the pecking order at Old Trafford, and with the 18-year-old star set to sign a long-term deal at the club, Eriksen’s time appears to be running out.
Eriksen raised his issue during the match to ten Hag, saying: “I’ve said before that I’m not satisfied with not playing, but it’s not something that keeps me up at night.”
“I’ve had a conversation with Erik about how I’m not happy with the situation and I want to play as much as possible, but I’m available and I need to be available for the team, which I am and always will be.
“He said it was the team he had chosen and they are doing well, and the rest of the midfield is also performing well, so there is competition for places, which is expected when playing for a top club. “There is great competition within the team.”
It is believed that Manchester United’s future may focus on Mainoo under the new team managed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, leaving the 32-year-old at a crossroads with the club.

His contract runs until 2025, and it is believed that Manchester United will sell Eriksen on a permanent deal if the right offer comes in for the Dane, which would be a win for the Red Devils after signing Eriksen as a free agent.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are believed to be interested in Eriksen’s services, although he has previous Premier League experience with Spurs and Brentford and could be encouraged to remain in English football.
