Manchester United are considering signing Brighton goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen and André Onana is reportedly growing restless.
Onana moved to Old Trafford from Inter Milan in a £47million deal in the summer of 2023 and was reunited with his former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag.
But Ten Hag was fired in October and replaced by Ruben Amorim, and the daily star They have claimed that Onana is unhappy with life in Manchester.
The same outlet also reported that the 28-year-old was already unsettled before Ten Hag’s dismissal, but the situation has worsened since Amorim’s arrival. As a result, United are said to be looking for replacements with Verbruggen as a target.
Verbruggen has become Brighton’s first-choice goalkeeper, fending off competition from Jason Steele, and is also the Netherlands’ number one.
The Seagulls signed him in a £16million deal the same summer Onana joined United and he has three years left on his current contract.

It was reported earlier this week that United sent scouts to watch him in action.
However, the club is crippled by the need to comply with the Premier League’s PSR rules and has little room for financial manoeuvre. sport mail understands that Marcus Rashford will be sacked if they can find a candidate for the striker.
A loan deal with a fee and a purchase obligation has also been mooted, but this will give little relief to newcomers, leaving Amorim in a difficult position.
Generally, most of their players are priced after their horrendous start to the season. United are 14th in the table and just eight points above the relegation zone.
United return to action when they host Newcastle United on Monday night.
