Manchester United are reportedly considering a swap deal involving Marcus Rashford in a bid to provide attacking reinforcements to head coach Ruben Amorim.
United are prepared to let Rashford leave in the January transfer window after he was dropped by Amorim.
The striker was left out of the four-match squad before appearing on the bench in the Red Devils’ 2-0 defeat to Newcastle on Monday.
Rashford will only go to a competitive club and league that gives him the opportunity to regain his place in the England team.
Mail Sport understands he has rejected three million-dollar offers from the Saudi Pro League that would eclipse his £315,000-a-week contract with United, and has also ruled out any move to Turkey.
Despite saying last month that he is “ready for a new challenge and the next steps” in his career, Rashford is open to staying at United, where he has a contract until June 2028.
Man United are reportedly considering offering Marcus Rashford in a swap deal in January.
Red Devils could reportedly offer Rashford in exchange for signing Victor Osimhen
Swap deal would help Man United manager Ruben Amorim strengthen his attacking options
According the sunMan United are weighing up Rashford’s offer in a swap deal to land Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen, who has a £62m release clause in his contract, is currently on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray.
The Nigerian star moved on loan after being dumped from Napoli’s squad after seeing their move to the Premier League fail in the summer.
Osimhen had been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea during the summer transfer window.
The forward signed for Napoli in 2020 and has scored 76 goals in 133 games in all competitions for the Italian giants.
He led Napoli to their first title in 33 years in 2022-23, scoring 26 league goals in his most impressive campaign in blue.
Osimhen has scored 12 goals in 15 games this season for Galatasaray and showed his quality by scoring twice against Tottenham in the Europa League.
A deal to sign Osimhen would improve Man United’s attacking options, with the Red Devils having scored just 21 goals in 19 Premier League games this season.
Rashford is keen to move to a competitive club to boost his chances of being called up by England.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in Rashford as the club aims to win Serie A.
Napoli manager Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in a deal for Rashford as the club battles for the Serie A title.
Conte’s side are currently second in the standings, with Atalanta only ahead on goal difference.
Rashford would reunite with former Man United stars Romelu Lukaku and Scott McTominay should he move to the Italian side.
United will listen to offers for Rashford this month as they try to comply with profit and sustainability rules, and would also consider a loan deal if his new club pays a fee and covers the majority of his salary.
United players are said to be surprised by Rashford’s exclusion, given he remains the club’s top scorer in the Premier League with four goals.
