Ashley Young has criticized Manchester United for their ‘chaotic’ defending of Crystal Palace’s opening goal.
Michael Olise showed excellent skill to put Palace ahead in the 12th minute, but Young was alarmed by the amount of space United gave him.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Young said: “If you look at the first goal, it’s crazy the way they are set up. Palace got a throw-in in their own half.
‘It’s just a run from Olise, she sees the space and just runs into it. It’s chaotic, Casemiro, I don’t know what he’s thinking, Olise sees that he’s going to do a challenge, just walk past him, it’s very easy.
Carragher claimed that Casemiro, who was playing out of a centre-back position, should have been substituted at half-time.

Carragher claimed that Casemiro’s problems were not due to him playing out of position.
Carragher said: “This has nothing to do with playing out of position.” That’s embarrassing. He needs to get off the field. There is nothing worse than Casemiro as a center back. Put Wan-Bissaka in the middle and put someone at full-back.
