A top European club is reportedly considering signing Manchester United midfielder Casemiro.
The Brazilian star, who cost £70million in 2022, has started United’s first three games of the season but endured a nightmare afternoon in his side’s 3-0 defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, losing the ball for the Reds’ first two goals before being taken off at half-time.
His place in Erik ten Hag’s starting XI is now under threat from new signing Manuel Ugarte, and Casemiro could be on his way out of Old Trafford before United return to action after the international break.
According ESPNCasemiro is on Galatasaray’s list of midfield targets ahead of the Turkish transfer window closing on Friday 13 September.
United have been open to selling the 32-year-old all summer but have not received significant interest from Saudi Arabia.

They could now sell the midfielder to Türkiye if Galatarasay steps up their interest in the coming days.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has been calling for United to offload Casemiro in recent months.
In a scathing assessment of Casemiro’s performance in United’s 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace in May, Carragher urged the club to “pay him” and told the former Real Madrid star to “put the matter to rest”.
He again criticised Casemiro at the weekend, admitting it was a “sad scenario” to see him go through such tough times while United were vastly outclassed by their biggest rivals.
Casemiro’s wife Anna Mariana sent a defiant message to her husband’s critics on Sunday night when she posted a photo of his glittering trophy cabinet in the home they share together.
But the United midfielder now faces an uncertain future, with the Turkish transfer window still open for another nine days.
Casemiro had an excellent debut campaign at the club but has since struggled. The Brazilian was forced to play as a centre-back for much of the 2023-24 season due to United’s defensive injury crisis.
