Manchester United ‘have made Jadon Sancho their leading transfer target’ but manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is happy to wait until next summer for him.
Solskjaer has been assured by United’s hierarchy that he will be given several more transfer windows to complete his desired overhaul of the squad he inherited from Jose Mourinho.
And, according to the Evening Standard, that will include a renewed pursuit of 19-year-old English star Sancho at the end of the season.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted to bring Sancho to Old Trafford this summer
Solskjaer was keen to sign Sancho, who scored 13 goals and contributed 19 assists for Borussia Dortmund last season, in the summer window but the German club made it clear he wasn’t for sale.
And despite Sancho signing a new contract with the German side recently, United reportedly won’t be deterred in their pursuit of him.
There have been concerns that United could be left a little lightweight up front this season after allowing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez to leave for Inter Milan.

Anthony Martial suffered a muscle injury in United’s defeat at home to Crystal Palace
17-year-old academy graduate Mason Greenwood could be called into action at Southampton
United do not intend to sign an emergency replacement such as free agent Fernando Llorente and so would have to wait until the January window.
That has left Solskjaer with just Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial as senior strikers, with 17-year-old Mason Greenwood as back up.
And Greenwood could be involved in this Saturday’s visit to Southampton after Martial suffered a muscle injury in the last weekend’s home loss to Crystal Palace.
Lukaku sealed a £73million move to Inter earlier this month and will be joined by Chilean misfit Sanchez on a season-long loan.
