A couple of cycling enthusiasts got engaged after a long bike ride – after the man had shown his girlfriend that he secretly married the words & # 39; to me & # 39; had spelled with their route.
In March, Jon Blaze from Houston, Texas invited his girlfriend Thau Nguyenon for a 15.7 km bicycle tour through the city. This was not unusual for the romantic couple, who often ride and even race together.
But there was something else about this route: the couple often turned around and doubled back, following a very strange path through the city – which Jon later revealed he & # 39; marry me & # 39; spelled for his future bride.
Cycle of love! Jon Blaze introduced his girlfriend Thau Nguyenon in March – by taking her on a bike ride with the words & # 39; marry me & # 39;
In love: despite the annoyance of the very strange route, she said yes
The couple from Houston, Texas like to make long bike rides together
& # 39; We ride together at least twice a week. We also lead multiple social drives in Houston, & Jon told ABC13.
In the run-up to that day in March, Jon used the Strava app to map out a route they could take for the proposal.
They started the route at Buffalo Bayou Park before heading north. Eventually they started driving up and down streets, sometimes they turned around at the end of the block and went back before they entered a new street.
After an hour and a half they were back in Buffalo Bayou Park – where Jon finally sat down on one knee.
Then he showed her in the app that she was marrying the words & # 39; & # 39; had spelled.
& # 39; I was so annoyed by all the crazy turns we did until completely shocked and with the biggest smile on my face, & # 39; said Thau.
Clever: Jon planned the route with the Strava app to make sure he understood the words well
Trust: As her reaction to the crazy route was questioned more, Jon explained: & I told her that we are going to drive a crazy route today. Don't ask questions, just follow & # 39;
Online: Thau and Jon have shared an Instagram account, where they visit @ cycling.couple and post photos of their rides
Last week Jon shared a screen grab of the route reddit, write: & # 39; So I went on a bike ride with my girlfriend and showed her a nice surprise at the end of our ride. She said yes! & # 39;
The post deserved a lot of attention and laughed from commentators.
& # 39; If she played with that idiotic route, she is definitely a keeper & # 39 ;, wrote one.
& # 39; I'm glad she said yes, but if she'd followed you while she & # 39; Had spelled No & # 39; that would have been epic, & # 39; wrote another. Congratulations on finding a road partner for life. & # 39;
