Rush hour horror in Melbourne when a man is stabbed to death in broad daylight on one of the city’s most iconic streets and is rushed to hospital as the assailant flees on foot.

A man was stabbed during rush hour in the Melbourne CBD and the unknown assailants fled on foot.
Emergency services were called to Bourke Street on Wednesday around 3:35 p.m. following reports of an altercation.
The criminals are understood to have fled the scene on foot and on scooters.
A police spokesman said the man was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

It comes just days after a teenager was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a stabbing on a bus in Fitzsimons Lane, Templestowe.
The 16-year-old was released from the hospital on Friday morning and police confirmed that his alleged attacker was still at large and no charges had been filed.
