A man died and a woman was left behind for her life after a hair-raising deer attack in northeastern Victoria.
The couple is supposed to have walked on their own their Moyhu property, about 260 km outside of Melbourne on Wednesday morning.
The animal is supposed to have jumped out of the forest before it is attacked around 8.20 am.
Paramedics were called upon to treat both residents who suffered serious injuries.
The man died on the ground and the woman is treated for upper body and leg injuries.

Ambulance Victoria said she had flown to Alfred Hospital in Melbourne in a serious condition.
The deer has since been euthanized.
The investigation is ongoing.
As many as a million wild deer would live in Victoria, according to a 2017 state report.
Their numbers increased after the Black Saturday Bushfires in 2008 and calls have been made to abolish the growing population.
Victoria & # 39; s National Park Association said in 2018 that the animals were destructive to the natural landscape.
