A Brazilian drag contest had a bizarre end on Saturday when a man charged the stage and slammed the crown as it was about to be placed on the winner’s head as his runner-up partner looked on horrified.
The shocking moment was filmed and shows Nathally Becker, representing the city of Cuiabá, holding hands with Emanuelly Belini, representing Várzea Grande, as they waited for the judges to announce the winner of the Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant in Cuiabá . SATURDAY.
Becker hugged Belini when Becker’s husband, Matheus Oliveira, suddenly jumped up to snatch the crown from someone, who appeared to be the previous winner, and threw it to the ground in disgust.
Nathally Becker came in second place in the Miss Gay Mato Grosso 2023 pageant on Saturday, but the event was marred by Becker’s partner who stormed onto the stage and snatched the crown.

Oliveira then grabbed Becker’s hair and escorted the finalist from the stage as he was inundated with boos.
He then stopped, picked up the wreath from the floor and slammed it again.
Malone Haenisch told Brazilian outlet G1 that the beauty contest was tight before Belini won.
“He didn’t see the result as fair and caused all this inconvenience and damage,” he said of Oliveira.

Haenisch, who oversees the pageant which is one of the largest for drag queens and transvestites in the country, provided Belini with a new crown.
He said the police would be contacted to take legal action to cover the cost of the broken crown.
On Sunday, Belini posted a message on Instagram thanking his supporters.
“I want to thank everyone for the support I received through social media, all my fans, friends, team,” Belini wrote. “Your support has been and is essential for me at this time.”
