Taney County Associate Circuit Court Judge Eric Eighmy sentenced Hyslop to 20 years in prison for first-degree sexual abuse and two counts of first-degree abduction, the prosecutor said in a pronunciation.

Hyslop, who was still under surveillance after pleading guilty in a 2017 drug case, told investigators that he used methamphetamine for three days when he saw the two students asleep in a car.

The students told the police that they had parked on Gage Drive near the Kum & Go supermarket and fell asleep.

They had decided to sleep in their car instead of breaking their curfew at Ozark Christian College.

Court documents obtained by Springfiled News-Leader state that the couple said they returned to the Point Lookout campus just 10 minutes after the curfew on October 29 and found the front entrance to the college locked. It reopens every day at 5 o'clock.

At this point, Hyslop met them and hit the passenger window with a hammer with a blue handle.

He threatened them with a gun and ordered the male student to ride to the view of the U.S. 165.

He later told them to take off their clothes and perform sexual acts with each other. He also had the female victim touch his penis.

Hyslop told the students to take him back to his dark green vehicle, which had temporary labels.

The students immediately contacted law enforcement and a search for Hyslop began.

His car was found by an assistant sheriff later that week and he was found in the driver's seat. He later agreed to speak with researchers.

According to court documents, Hyslop's statement corresponded to the surveillance video and what the students reported to investigators.

Hyslop was taken into custody and detained in prison in Taney County prison.
