A 23-year-old man who was allegedly tortured has died in hospital, and two people will appear in court over his alleged murder.
Emergency services were called after reports of an alleged assault at a McLean Rd property in Mount Mee, about 85 kilometers north of Brisbane, at 8.30pm on Wednesday.
When they arrived at the property, they found a 23-year-old Eagle Farm man with critical head injuries.
It is understood a 23-year-old Eagle Farm man was found partially buried alive on the property.
He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition, but has since died from his injuries.
A 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Mount Mee, were initially charged with attempted murder, but their charges have since been upgraded to murder.

The 21-year-old local is now charged with 10 crimes, including murder, common assault, deprivation of liberty, incapacity to commit a serious crime, serious bodily injury, observations or recordings violating the privacy of the genital or anal region, serious assault to police, torture, injuries and illegal possession of category A/B/M weapons.
The 21-year-old woman remains in custody and will appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court on May 7.
The 23-year-old local is now charged with nine crimes, including murder, common assault, deprivation of liberty, incapacity to commit a serious crime, serious bodily injury, observations or recordings violating the privacy of the genital or anal region, torture. , injuries and illicit possession of category A/B/M weapons.
The 23-year-old man, who also remains in custody, will next have his matters mentioned at Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 4.
