Man fights for life after being stabbed by McDonald’s in London

McDonald’s ‘is being evacuated by police’ after a man in his 20s is stabbed outside, leaving him fighting for his life in hospital

A man in his twenties is fighting for his life after being stabbed at a McDonald’s in North London.

Police rushed to the fast food restaurant in Colindale, Barnet around 6:40 PM today after reports of a stabbing.

About eight police cars were present in addition to ambulance personnel and the air ambulance.

Metropolitan Police confirmed that the man is in a ‘critical condition’.

The McDonald’s restaurant was cordoned off to the public after the incident, with agents asking Londoners to avoid the area due to road and business closures.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses claimed tonight that the victim ran into McDonald’s after being stabbed in a residential area across the road.

Others reported that the incident took place in an alley near the restaurant.

“I sat inside and heard all those police sirens. I saw two cops running into McDonalds with bewildered people thronging outside, ‘one of them said Daily star.

This happened in broad daylight. It’s terrible. I was told the person on our estate had been stabbed and then crossed the road and came across McDonald’s.

“The entire area is now taped off pending forensics. We can’t get in or out. ‘

Another witness alleged that the man was carried out of the restaurant on a stretcher.

In a statement, Metropolitan Police said: “ Police were called at approximately 6:40 PM on Monday, August 10, regarding reports of a man stabbed in Colindeep Lane, NW9.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service were on hand and the man, presumably in his twenties, is being treated on the spot.

Road closures, including local businesses around the junction with Zenith Close, will remain closed.

Investigation into the circumstances continues. No arrests. ‘

A spokesperson for the London ambulance service added: ‘We received a call today (Monday, August 10) at 6:40 PM to report a stabbing in Colindeep Lane, NW9.

“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance, two doctors in response vehicles and an incident response officer. We also sent the ambulance from London.

“We treated a person on the spot before taking him by road to a major trauma center in London.”
