A man is in hospital fighting for his life after suffering serious injuries in a suspected stabbing in Sydney’s west.
Emergency services were called to The Boulevarde in Fairfield Heights at around 7.45pm on Sunday following reports of an assault at a function centre.
The 45-year-old man suffered stab wounds to his shoulder and back and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Police have established a crime scene and have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
