A man was killed early Saturday when his Mercedes Benz flew off Jackie Robinson Parkway, striking an emergency call booth and a tree, police said.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was ejected from his luxury car after the 6:30 a.m. crash, police said.
The Mercedes Benz was traveling west along the winding, rain-swept road through Forest Park, Queens, when it lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into the emergency call box along the shoulder the police said.
It then veered into a forest and hit a tree, police said.
First responders found the victim lying on the ground outside of the car.
The victim died at the scene, authorities said. Police officers were trying to identify him on Saturday.
