A man has ‘thrown away 20 years of friendship’ after confessing to having an affair with his best friend’s mother when he was just 22.
Michael, 42, spoke live to Kyle and Jackie O and revealed that John’s mum ‘caught him’ when they were the last two after his friend’s 21st birthday.
He claimed that one thing led to another and they ended up having sex in the middle of the living room.
“I remember clearly, it was at the end of the party and everything is simmering,” he said.
“The father was not there, and my friend went to his room with his girlfriend and fell asleep.”

To make matters worse, the couple seemed to get along so well that they decided it wouldn’t be a one-time thing, and started seeing each other casually for months on end.
“She definitely had more experience and taught me a few things,” said Michael.
Twenty years later, Michael admitted that he no longer spoke to John’s mother and wanted to confess to his friend out of respect.
When Kyle and Jackie asked O if he knew how John would react, Michael said, “I have no idea. He may brush it off, or he may be (upset). I doubt he knows yet.’
Kyle even tried to convince Michael not to tell John, noting that he would be devastated if he learned about his mother hooking up with his friends.
“God, no one wants to imagine their mother with their legs up,” Kyle said.
Michael admitted that he felt bad lying to John for so long that he would go ahead and tell the truth while the radio hosts sat awkwardly on the line.
He got straight to the point.
“John, I’ve thought about telling you this for twenty years, but I’ve always backed off,” he began.
“I slept with your mother.”
John was shocked and found it hard to get words out.

He then began to curse profusely.
‘What the hell do you mean? Did you fuck my mother?’ he said. “You’re kidding, everyone makes mistakes, but this is big.”
Kyle then stepped in and revealed that it wasn’t just one time – and that Michael actually started a casual relationship with John’s mother.
“It’s true,” Michael said. “I’d go there if I knew you weren’t home.”
John replied, “I don’t know what to say, you’ve wasted our friendship. “I don’t know how I’ll ever look at my mother the same way.
‘I have nothing to say to you. I don’t know how you can be my friend when you know you did that to me behind my back.’
“I understand it’s eating at you, but I’d be shocked and devastated if I found out about this,” host Kyle Sandilands said of Michael’s tryst with John’s mother.
John revealed that he was also angry with his mother and would not speak to her for the foreseeable future.
Once John and Michael were off the show, Kyle expressed regret for letting that situation happen.
“I didn’t like that at all, I regret being a part of it,” he said.
“I normally enjoy this, but it made me feel uncomfortable.”
