Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has come under some scrutiny in recent weeks.
Former midfielder Roy Keane branded the Norwegian a ‘League Two player’ last weekend.
Compared to Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane, Haaland has a shooting accuracy of 57.14%, while the former has 61.11 per 90 minutes.
The City striker also averages fewer shots on goal, winning goals, goal scoring without penalties and fouls won. His conversion rate is also lower at 23.38% compared to Kane’s 34.44.
Haaland, however, beats the Englishman in created chances and touches in the rival area.
Between Haaland and Mbappé, the latter stands out in all aspects, especially in his 2.5 completed shots, touches in the rival area and a conversion rate of 29.63%.
Harry Kane has had a magnificent debut season with Bayern and his statistics surpass those of Haaland
The PSG star has shone this season with 39 goals in as many games across the competition as they move closer to another Ligue 1 title.
Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martínez is another striker who has taken Europe by storm this season, and is doing relatively well compared to Haaland.
The Argentine has a higher shooting accuracy of 61.19%, goals scored without penalties, a conversion rate more than 10% higher than Haaland, as well as throw-ins and fouls won.
Kylian Mbappé has scored 39 goals in as many games throughout the competition this season
Lautaro Martínez is Serie A’s top scorer as his Inter Milan closes in on the title
Haaland only surpasses Martínez in touches in the rival area and two shots on goal compared to the latter’s 1.7.
While he may not be a striker, Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham has fared much better than his City counterpart.
The England international surpasses Haaland with his impressive 70% shooting accuracy, 40% conversion rate, 38 chances created, 39 completed shots and 66 fouls won.
In fact, Haaland only surpasses Bellingham in shots on goal and touches in the opponent’s area, which will not be a surprise given that he is a striker.
The two players will meet next Tuesday when City and Real meet in the quarterfinals of the Champions League.
