Manchester City star Ilkay Gundogan has given his opinion on Victor Osimhen’s proposed season-long loan to Galatasaray.
The Napoli striker landed in Istanbul in the early hours of Tuesday and will reportedly undergo medical tests ahead of his shock move.
The star-studded forward was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea throughout the summer transfer window, with a move to the Premier League his ‘dream’, but the Blues were unable to seal the deal.
Galatasaray confirmed on Monday evening that they were in talks with the Italian giants over the acquisition of Osimhen.
Fabrizio Romano also confirmed that the striker was travelling to Istanbul and to the surprise of some, Gundogan offered a response in the comments section.

Osimhen landed in Türkiye before completing a one-year loan to the Turkish team.
Gundogan, who returned to City after a spell at Barcelona, wrote: “Wow… crazy” alongside a series of emojis accompanying his comment on Instagram.
While Gundogan’s links to the movement may seem unclear, he previously revealed that his family are Galatasaray fans, except for his mother.

“I will never forget when Galatasaray won the UEFA Cup in 2000. We were all together watching the final and when we beat Arsenal on penalties, my uncle Ilhan, who is six years older than me, burst into tears.”
It was reported on Tuesday that a strange clause has been inserted into Osimhen’s loan deal with Galatasaray.
The Nigerian international is set to sign a one-year loan deal with the Turkish giants, but reports now claim there is a unique clause inserted into his contract.

The outlet also claims that Osimhen has requested that his release clause be reduced from £109m to £63m as he looks to engineer a permanent move.
The deadline day move for Osimhen to Turkey came after he was excluded from Napoli’s roster for the 2024-25 campaign due to his relationship with the club being “broken”.
