A man has been charged with manslaughter after another man was found dead on a footpath following what police believe was a prearranged backyard fight gone wrong.

The 32-year-old was found by a passerby in a pool of blood on the pavement at Georgina Crescent in Melonba, Sydney’s west just before 9pm on Friday.

Despite the best efforts of the paramedics, the man, who had suffered significant head and body injuries, could not be revived.

Cage fighter Bradley Fletcher, 38, has since been charged with murder after he was found allegedly hiding in nearby bushes.

A 32-year-old man was found by a passerby in a pool of blood on the pavement at Georgina Crescent in Melonba, Sydney’s west just before 10am.

NSW Police said they are investigating whether the pair were involved in a backyard fight that had been staged at a home in the area.

Police will allege Fletcher drove the 32-year-old before dumping his body on Georgina Crescent.

He then allegedly drove into a parked car.

“Police patrolling in the vicinity of the vehicle of interest located and arrested, a 38-year-old man who had been hiding in bushes,” they said in a statement.

Fletcher was taken to Mt Druitt police station a short time later where he was charged.

The deceased man is believed to have been caught on CCTV footage leaving a home in Melonba less than an hour before he died.

Video from a neighboring property showed a white SUV pulling up to a driveway on Annan Avenue around 8 p.m.

A man and a woman were seen getting out of the vehicle before the man enters the property and comes out a short time later before driving off.

Minutes later, another man, believed to be the deceased who was inside the house, drives a black sedan out of the garage and leaves the home.

Forensic detectives spent Saturday examining the home and reviewing CCTV footage from surrounding properties.

Fletcher was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
