A 31-year-old man has been charged following a horrific car crash that killed golfer Doey Choi and her boyfriend William Brown last month.

Choi, 24, was sitting on a motorcycle behind Brown, 26, when he collided with a car at the intersection of Hume Highway and Worth Street in Greenacre, New South Wales, about 20 kilometers west of the financial district. central Sydney, just before 8pm on May 28.

The couple died at the scene while the driver of the car, a 25-year-old man, was rushed to hospital. He remains in critical condition.

“Accident Investigation Unit officers examined the crime scene and began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said in a statement Sunday.

NSW Police believe the motorcycle was part of a convoy at the time of the tragic accident.
