A man has been arrested after the body of a woman was found inside a home.
Police were called to a property on Coulson Road, in Pokolbin, in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, shortly after 6pm on Friday following reports of welfare concerns.
Inside the rural property, the lifeless body of a woman in her 40s was found.
Despite the efforts of first responders, they were unable to revive her.
A 47-year-old man was arrested at the house and taken to Cessnock police station.
No charges have yet been filed and investigations continue.
