The 2017 Toyota RAV4, which was used to remove the woman from her home, was located and confiscated by the police, CP24 reported.

McLennan now faces nine counts, including kidnapping with a firearm, forced confinement, threats, pointing a gun and carrying a concealed weapon.

Authorities had previously been interested in McLennan in connection with an incident in 2014 in which a man was shot and sprayed with pepper spray in the parking lot of an apartment building, according to CP24.
