The 19-year-old star was first admitted to the hospital on May 11 after suffering an undisclosed medical emergency.

He then suffered “life-threatening” injuries on May 26 after falling from a fifth-floor balcony located at a hospital.

Her family said Mamie’s body had been left “shattered” after her fall and that she had undergone multiple extensive surgeries, adding that it was an “absolute miracle” she was alive.

Nicole also said the family is looking to take legal action against St. Paul’s Hospital, the hospital she was at during the fall. She categorized the potential legal action as a “negligence-type case.”

‘We have a case. The only thing we care about is that Mamie can recover, that she is alive, that she is fighting and that she is strong. It is incredible that she is with us,” her mother added.

Mamie played nursing student Rosaleen Sullivan for the first two seasons on When Calls The Heart, and also returned for season 10.
