Mamie Laverock has taken her first steps since a shocking five-storey fall left her on life support nearly three months ago.
The 20-year-old actress, best known for When Calls The Heart, suffered an undisclosed medical emergency on May 11 and was hospitalized.
Two weeks later, she was “taken from a secure unit at the hospital and carried to a balcony from which she fell five stories,” according to a post on her GoFundMe account. Her mother has publicly stated that the incident was not a suicide attempt.
Now, in a new video she posted on Facebook, Mimi revealed that she has reached a new “milestone” in her recovery from the disease.
In the clip, which has since been deleted, she can be seen getting up from her hospital bed and eventually taking a few steps with the help of a walker. Too Fab.

“Thank you surgeons, thank you prayers, thank you Lord. Mamie has just taken her first steps,” read the euphoric message posted on Facebook.
Family members including her mother Nicole Rockmann were present for the momentous occasion, with her father John also watching via FaceTime.
At the beginning of the video, she was sitting in her hospital bed with casts on her legs, but she grabbed the sides of the walker and stood up.
He earned a round of applause from the hospital staff and exultantly declared: “I’m standing!”, adding: “It really feels strange. It really feels strange.”
Mamie confessed she felt ‘really unsteady’ on her feet, and when she had to spread her legs she realised: ‘Oh my god, ski boots are so hard.’
With gentle instructions from the medical staff, she was able to move one of her feet slightly, despite initially feeling “like I was going to fall backwards.”
Mamie turned to the phone John was using to keep an eye on her and proudly reported to her father, “Hey, Dad… Look, I’m standing with the walker, all alone.”
