An Australian makeup enthusiast has shared her foolproof hack for preventing under-eye creases by using two specialty products before applying her foundation.

Indya took to a popular Facebook page on June 24 to share a side-by-side photo of her profile showing the trick and not the massive difference.

“Okay, I can’t believe what a difference applying powder and spray under your foundation (rather than over the top) makes to the under-eye lines and the finish of your makeup,” she wrote.

“I tried this today with NARS light-reflecting foundation and it was absolutely no bueno — patchy, slippery, dirty,” she continued.

However, RMS was incredible! I maintain that RMS is one of the most under-hyped brands that Mecca carries, get a few samples from their range and try it out.’

To complete the original look, Indya also used RMS un-cover concealer, Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter and Laura Mercier Powder to hold the makeup in place.

Other members of the group were immediately drawn to the hack, with many saying they’d tried it before.

‘I’ve been doing this for years too. The trick is to use the finest powder you can find and handle it very, very lightly. Too much and it looks awful,” one woman replied.

‘That looks good. I find the powder makes my eyes look dry… super excited to try this,” said another.

A third added: ‘Years ago I put on liquid foundation, then powder, then a thin sponge layer of liquid foundation and I thought it went better with powder underneath. People thought I was weird for doing that.’
