Major update after teen was hit on the way to school

Police have seized a van they believe may have hit a teenager in New South Wales.

The boy was found injured on the side of the road on Wednesday and taken to hospital with abrasions to his leg and face.

No charges have been laid, but a man in his 60s is assisting police.

At around 4pm on Wednesday, a 13-year-old boy got off his school bus in Bowral, in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

Some time later he was found injured on the side of Isabella Way.

He was taken to Liverpool Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

In a statement, police say investigations indicate the boy was hit while crossing the street after getting off his school bus.

At a nearby house, police confiscated a white van. The car will now be forensically examined.

A 63-year-old man helps police; however, no charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
