Major train delays during rush hour in Sydney while the city hall station is being evacuated
Commuters were hit with major delays after the Sydney City Hall train station was cleared.
A fire safety alarm was triggered on Tuesday shortly before 7.30 am.
Services did not stop at the station for about 15 minutes while crews assumed the cause, NSW Transport said.
However, the services were resumed at 7.50 a.m.
Those who enter the city from the northern and western suburbs of Sydney are also faced with delays due to urgent repairs of overhead lines in Hornsby.
