Jamie Reed, a former case manager at the gender clinic, said she saw young people begging to have their amputated body parts reattached after sex reassignment surgery.

Bosses at one of America’s most controversial gender clinics warned staff to remain silent when distraught teenagers returned begging to have their severed breasts reattached, their former case manager has claimed.

The University of Washington Transgender Center in Missouri would prescribe irreversible gender-changing drugs to children as young as 12 after seeing them just twice, according to the whistleblower who worked there for four years.

Jamie Reed, who is gay and married to a transgender person, told Dr. Phil Primetime that her classmates came together demanding to transition as the trend spread through their schools.

“I saw a young woman begging to have her breasts reattached after surgery,” he told the show.

‘They encouraged us not to make a big deal of it and definitely not to tell other families. He couldn’t keep silent about it anymore.

Reed worked at the St Louis Children’s Hospital clinic from 2018 to 2022 and helped force a change in Missouri law when she denounced its “morally and medically atrocious” programs last year.

“There were very few written protocols or guidelines,” he revealed today.

‘One of the suppliers even said ‘we were flying the plane while we were building it.’

“Doctors act like they are God when it comes to children in medical transition.”

An internal investigation by the center in April last year found that 531 of the 1,165 children who sought help after 2018 received “cross-sex hormones” and puberty blockers.

But Reed noted that hormonal prescriptions can have irreversible and life-altering consequences, such as sterility.

‘Are you telling me that a 12 or 13 year old, who can’t decide what pajamas to wear, can come in and say, ‘I’ve decided I want to transition?’ -Dr. Phil asked.

“And with no more than two visits, not even a couple of hours, they say, ‘Okay, start taking this, start doing this,’ which alters your biochemistry in a way that you can’t go back from.”

“Correct,” Reed responded.

‘What kept happening is that every time I raised concerns and asked about protocols and guidelines, that’s how the industry works, if a child says they’re trans, there’s no question. We just say, ‘Yes, you’re trans, what would you like?

‘We began to see patients who suffered very significant medical damage and were rushed to the emergency room with lacerations that required stitches.

“We had patients contact us and beg us to have their body parts reattached within a few months of surgery.”

He said the pressures of social media have led to an explosion in the number of boys seeking treatment and they are now overwhelmingly young women wanting to become men.

“They would come in and have almost the exact same story, like they had learned what to say from a video to explain, ‘Oh, no, really, I’ve felt this way since early childhood,'” he said. .

“But many of their parents didn’t remember anything like that.”

Reed’s revelations caused a sensation when he made them public in February last year after becoming horrified by the damage he was seeing.

He said that in 2019 he began to notice an increasing number of patients deciding not to go through with the transition or deciding to return to their previous gender.

She and her colleague began collecting information about those patients with the assumption that doctors would want to know about their change of mind.

“We thought doctors would want to collect and understand this data to find out what they were missing,” he explained.

‘We were wrong. One doctor wondered aloud why he would spend time with someone who was no longer his patient.

But he said he was hesitant to raise his concerns because anyone who did was considered “transphobic”.

Reed claimed that doctors asked questions like “do you want a dead daughter or a live son?” “bullying” children’s parents into going ahead with gender transitions, under the pretext that failure to do so would make them suicidal.

Center

The Center “will no longer prescribe puberty blockers or cross-sex hormones to minors for the purposes of gender transition,” the university announced last year.

The whistleblower said that working at the center, which medically transitioned 600 children in two years, was “like I was in a cult and had to deprogram myself to get out of it.”

In September of last year, the center said it would comply with legislation signed by Missouri Republican Gov. Mike Parson that prohibits doctors from performing gender transition surgeries or prescribing hormone therapy or other gender transition medications to minor children. of 18 years.

“This creates unsustainable liability for healthcare professionals and makes it unsustainable for us to continue providing comprehensive transgender care for minor patients without subjecting the university and our providers to an unacceptable level of liability,” she said in a statement.

The law went into effect on August 28, but exempted patients who had already begun transitioning.
