Morocco’s biggest earthquake in more than 120 years struck south of Marrakesh in early September, killing at least 632 people and injuring more than 350.
The earthquake, which measured 7.2 on the Richter scale, struck the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, causing tremors as far away as Portugal and wiped out entire families.
Witnesses describe hearing “unbearable screams and cries” and seeing distraught relatives frantically searching with their bare hands for buried loved ones.
Maisie sent her condolences to those affected by the tragedy as she shared an update on Instagram.
She wrote: ‘I can’t believe it. We flew back from this beautiful country just two days ago.’
She added: ‘My thoughts are with all the victims and the families of those who have lost their lives in this tragedy.’
