Australian basketball star Liz Cambage has shared images of her new life abroad after being released by her WNBA club and national team and signing a $1 million mega deal with a Chinese basketball team.

Her WNBA club, the LA Sparks, showed Cambage the door and told her her time with the Australian Opals had ended last year, following a series of race-related controversies.

With her WNBA and international career in tatters, it seemed like the end of the road for the 32-year-old center.

However, Cambage announced a lucrative contract with Chinese team Sichuan in November. It’s worth a staggering $1 million.

On Thursday morning, Cambage took to social media to give his fans an insight into what his average day is like now, as he resides in the northwestern city of Chengdu, which has a population of 16 million.

In the clip, the Australian starts her day by waking up and ordering breakfast in the luxury suite she lives in, then shows off her protein-rich meal of scrambled eggs, bacon, mushrooms and baked beans, which she says is essential due to the heavy training workload you face.

The former Opal then chooses from a variety of designer sneakers before introducing her followers to Jocelyn, who she describes as her ‘translating nanny’.

“She’s taking so much care of me right now that she won’t leave my side,” Cambage explains.

They are picked up in a private car with heated seats and taken to train.

Along the way, Cambage reveals that they had to tell her it was Valentine’s Day because “I really had no idea, that’s how single I am.”

Cambage walks fans through some of his strength and conditioning routines before taking the court with his new team, which trains every day.

“Kicking my butt, making me better every day… we’re doing things I’ve never done before,” he says while praising the strength coach who’s been fixing his hips and back.

Unlike Cambage, the rest of her teammates live at the team’s training base, which is about 45 minutes from their elegant home.

After eating “some more chocolates for my single ass” and explaining that her coach forbade her from filming the team’s practice session, Cambage falls asleep as she is driven home, where she relaxes in front of the TV and orders dinner.

The 32-year-old also gave her followers a revelation about the state of her love life.

“There’s nothing like Chinese basketball. It’s very fast, it’s very fast,” she explains before showing her fans her beauty regimen.

Cambage’s deal is one of the largest in women’s basketball history, in stark contrast to the WNBA, where even the highest-paid players have a maximum annual salary of $234,936.

Its astronomical earnings will allow you to earn almost four times that amount in just a fraction of the time.

Unfortunately for some of her followers, Cambage was forced to close her Onlyfans account before entering China, where the adult website is banned.

“I’ve always loved my time in China and I’m looking forward to getting back on the field,” he told Australia’s Herald Sun last year.

Playing and living in China is nothing new for the Australian, who joined the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association in 2012, and later played for Beijing Great Wall and Shanghai Swordfish.

His last stint in the country was with Shanxi Flame from 2018 to 2019.

“It is one of the strongest leagues in the world and I have played many seasons there over the years.”
