Joe Rogan and Bill Maher debated on the podcaster’s show whether Donald Trump or Joe Biden was worse for the country.
Maher and Rogan both agreed on The Joe Rogan Experience that neither 2024 contender was a good option, but argued over who was the worst.
Rogan said Biden, 80 – the oldest US president in history – was “mentally compromised”. The Club Random host then replied, “Like another guy doesn’t?”
The MMA commentator tried to argue that the second-longest-serving president of the United States “speaks much more clearly.”

“(Trump) may be crazy. Maybe he’s a sociopath. That doesn’t take away from the fact that there’s something wrong with Biden,” Rogan added. “He invents words. He stumbles.
“He doesn’t seem to know where he is half the time. That’s my problem with him.
Maher felt that Rogan should lower his standards towards Biden compared to former President Trump.
“We live in a world where perfection is not on the menu,” Maher said. “Those are the choices.”
Maher even admitted that Trump “looks and sounds a lot warmer and tougher.” He is a city cockroach, the more bad things he eats, the stronger he becomes. You can’t kill him.
Rogan said Trump was “the only (president) who hasn’t aged noticeably.” “No, we did,” Maher said. Maher tried to argue that Trump was “crazy” and “stupid.”

Both Maher and Rogan agreed that neither of the likely 2024 contenders was a particularly good option. They became combative when arguing over who was the worst.

Comedians and podcast hosts Joe Rogan and Bill Maher debated whether former President Donald Trump or current President Joe Biden was worse for the country on Rogan’s show on Saturday.
“And crazy and stupid are two different things… stupid is ‘Frederick Douglass is alive’ or ‘the stealth bomber is literally invisible,'” Maher said.
“It’s crazy, it’s important that the crowd at my inauguration was the largest ever, and I’m going to make it a topic for the first two weeks of my presidency despite photographic evidence to the contrary.” Or “I’m going to steal these documents, and I’m going to put them next to the toilets at Mar-A-Lago, and I’m going to fight you to get them back.”
“Or” I do not concede the election. It’s crazy… he’s also a criminal.
The pair also battled over which of the two presidents lied more, with Rogan saying his biggest problem with Biden was “he lies a lot.”
Maher replied, “Well, certainly no more than Trump.”
“They’re both lying,” Rogan said. “I don’t think comparing (Biden) to Trump benefits anyone.”
“They face each other, so it’s necessary,” Maher said.
Maher then felt that he agreed that “Joe Biden is not a great president”, he went on to say that “you can’t really believe that (Trump) isn’t worse than Biden”.
“And the Hunter Biden stuff is a stinking scandal that stinks to the skies.” But if you think that compares to what Trump tried to do, then you just can’t tell the things that aren’t different.

Bill Maher spent part of the interview comparing “woke” progressives to the KKK, arguing that both groups are obsessed with race.

Maher was responding to Rogan’s claim that the former HBO star is a “90s liberal” and not a “far left” like the current progressive wing of the Democratic Party.
Maher spent part of his appearance again criticizing woke progressives – this time arguing that they are not like “color-blind” liberals, but rather have a fixation on race that is comparable to that of the KKK.
He argued that while liberals like former Democratic Presidents Barack Obama and John F. Kennedy aim to see no race at all, today’s progressives are identity-obsessed extremists.
“(Wokes) thinks race is first and foremost what should always be seen everywhere, which I find interesting because that was the position of the Ku Klux Klan.”

The comedian has some time off amid the writers’ strike, prompting his HBO show Real Time to take an unscheduled hiatus for the entire month of May and June ahead of filming’s scheduled break in July.
He has yet to return to the studio as the strike continues.
