MANILA, Philippines — A moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 struck Sarangani, Davao Occidental on Friday.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake struck Davao Occidental at 3:20 a.m., with a depth of focus of 149 kilometers and a tectonic origin.
Intensity 1 was felt in Malungon, Sarangani, Phivolcs said in its seismic bulletin.
No damage has been reported so far, but the agency said aftershocks are still expected.
