Two people have died in a horror head-on collision between a truck and a car north of Adelaide.

Emergency services rushed to the crash site in Magdala, about 70 kilometers north of the South Australian capital, at around 2pm on Friday.

According to rescuers, a ute and a Toyota truck collided on Owen Road before hitting a pole and knocking down power lines.

“Sadly, two occupants of the van, a 67-year-old man and a 63-year-old woman from the local region, died at the scene,” a South African police spokesperson said on Saturday.
