Men accused of gang-raping a British tourist at a hotel in Magaluf have recorded more than 20 videos of the alleged sexual assault, it was claimed last night.
Police confirmed yesterday that they found images on the suspects’ mobile phones which were now in the hands of an investigating judge and could be a ‘key element’ in the case against them.
Overnight, respected Mallorcan newspaper Ultima Hora said the number of videos rose to more than 20.
He also reported that investigators were trying to identify several other tourists who witnessed the alleged gang rape and “did nothing to stop it.”
The Civil Guard has yet to comment officially on the latest reports and could not be reached for comment.
Meanwhile, the alleged teenager is believed to have returned to Britain on Wednesday evening with a friend she had traveled with to the resort town of Mallorca after receiving help from consular officials.

The six suspects – five French holidaymakers and a Swiss national who were staying at the BH Mallorca Resort in Magaluf – allege they had consensual sex with the 18-year-old British girl who said she was gang-raped after returning to a men’s rooms.
They were taken into custody following a closed court appearance on Tuesday.
The unnamed British teenager was on holiday with a friend who is believed to have given a statement to police and the investigating judge as part of the ongoing investigation.
The hotel where the alleged gang rape took place in the early hours of Monday said yesterday it was cooperating fully with investigators and offered its support to the alleged victim.
A spokesperson said: “BH Mallorca Resort deeply regrets what has happened and wishes to express its firm and forceful repudiation of the alleged sexual assault which occurred in the early hours of Monday August 14 at the hotel. .
“The hotel also wishes to show its solidarity with the alleged victim of this attack.
“We are cooperating fully with the Civil Guard and its investigators in whatever they deem necessary.
“With this statement, this hotel confirms its commitment to condemning all types of sexual assault that undermine people’s dignity and physical integrity.
“Behaviour that infringes on these rights has no place in this establishment.”
The hotel said it would not comment further at this time.
Earlier today it was reported that a security guard had come to the rescue of the 18-year-old Briton after finding her sobbing on the floor in the lobby following the alleged gang rape.
He called the police after finding her around 5 a.m. on Monday, recalling how he had just arrived for his morning shift and describing the police response as very quick and efficient.
The woman was allegedly raped after apparently meeting the suspects at a party.
A Civil Guard spokesperson confirmed earlier this week: “I can confirm that we are investigating an alleged gang rape at a hotel in Magaluf.
We were alerted by the hotel in the early hours of Monday morning after the alleged victim raised the alert.
“A group of officers took her to hospital so she could be examined by a doctor and another team of officers set about trying to locate the suspected attackers.
“They were arrested within hours. The investigation is ongoing and involves a team of officers specializing in the investigation of alleged sex crimes in Magaluf.
“Five of the men arrested are French and the sixth suspect is a Swiss national. They are all in their twenties.
A well-placed insider confirmed the alleged victim was an 18-year-old British tourist and said she gave a statement after alerting police to a court judge during a closed-door hearing. Its current location is unclear.

The woman met the alleged rapists on Monday evening and then went to the hotel room of one of the suspects in Magaluf (pictured, file photo), where she was allegedly sexually assaulted by the six, the office Majorca police press release cited the alleged victim. statement as saying

Unconfirmed local reports say grip marks were found on the British teenager’s arms when examined in hospital by a doctor.
Investigators have already reviewed CCTV footage provided by the hotel and carried out an inspection of the room where the alleged attack took place.
The men held in prison have yet to be charged with any crime as is normal in Spain, where formal charges are only brought shortly before trial. At this point, they are “investigated” as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, which means they are under official investigation.
The four-star adults-only BH Mallorca Resort describes itself as the “best accommodation option in Magaluf” on its website.
It has its own beach club with over 100 VIP beds, a DJ booth and a dance floor.
